I had such a great time last summer photographing Teanna and Steve's engagement session, the weather was beautiful, and I'm just dreaming of how nice it was to go outside and not have to bring a jacket! I'm so looking forward to this spring, but for now, will daydream of warmer times with pictures of fabulous people from last summer.

We walked around downtown Kelowna after meeting over tea at Chai Baba tea house on Ellis Street. One of the things I love about Kelowna is the variety of locations in such a short distance. I hope you enjoy the pictures, I will get around to posting their wedding photos hopefully soon as well!

The main reason I did this session was because I found my old film camera and wanted to play around with it some more - this was the second session I did this year with a roll of film (and my digital camera in the car just in case). These first two pictures at the top are on my digital and the rest were on film. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures of this beautiful family!

Linda and Henry hired me to do a family photo session for them this past summer, as they were coming back to Kelowna from Vancouver to visit their family. I had the honor of photographing their wedding a few years ago, and I always love it when clients hire me again to capture their families as they grow!

We were lucky to have a beautiful day to do family pictures, and as always, Kelowna is full of great locations for backdrops. I absolutely loved their nephew's awesome hair style, and he had the cutest smile - I hope to see them again next year!

I had lots of fun with Lucy back in June, when I pulled my old film camera out of the back of my shelf for the first time in 5 years. Half the pictures here are done in film, the other half digital, and it was so much fun to go back to the medium I started with. I'll admit that I definitely checked the back of my film camera more than once, but it was a great challenge to be limited to the roll of 24 pictures!

Jolene and her horse Colt came out for a session in March - it was a little bit cold, but a jacket and a brisk walk warmed us up well enough!

Courtney and Dan are perfect together - they are never more than 5 minutes away from their next bout of laughter, and they are always smiling. I first met Courtney when I was attending an adult hip hop dance class, and she was the only one in the class who was as enthusiastic as myself so we became fast friends.

We did their engagement session at Gellatly Nut Farm, which is a favorite place of mine, as they have both a nice rocky beach and fabulous trees. It was however, February, so the trees were a little bare! We still had a blast during our session, and following in line with their personalities more than half of the pictures they are just laughing at each other and being goofy.

They also just got married last weekend in Oliver, so congratulations to you both - I know your life together will be amazing!

From the first moment I met Naomi and Geoff, I knew they were the perfect clients for me. Not only did they love my work and had no meetings with any other photographers, but we also connected instantly. Naomi and Geoff picked September 17th for their wedding date, which is an amazing day as my husband and I got married on the same day the year before! Capturing the love these two shared for each, and their kids, was the best anniversary present I could ask for.

Naomi looked absolutely stunning in her gown, even though (as she told me that morning) she was sick with pneumonia! Regardless, their ceremony was full of love and emotion, their friends and family filled with joy and the entire day was filled with laughter.

Tess is my best friend in the whole world, and I was so excited when her and Mike got engaged - we went out last fall and captured them at Mission Creek Park amidst all the beautiful fall colors. They actually just got married two days ago at Sunset Ranch, and it was a beautiful wedding. I am really excited to see the pictures from her photographer, as I was busy being her Maid of Honor!

Congratulations Mike and Tess, I am so excited for you and your life together :)
